Ronit Goswami

Coordinator for Recruitment & Retention

What do you believe sets SCPS apart?
SCPS stands out to me because of its focus on adult learners and non-traditional students. I believe there is a strong commitment within SCPS to be flexible with our students, continue to support them both academically and professionally, and most importantly, meet students where they are. Many of our students are working full-time, raising a family, or returning to school after some time away. I'm often reminded of one of ÎçÒ¹AV's core values, which is cura personalis, which means "caring for the whole person." That approach is what sets SCPS apart.

What do you want those outside of SCPS to know about SCPS students?
First and foremost, our SCPS students are among the most driven, resilient, and inspiring individuals that I've worked closely with. Many students are often balancing school with work responsibilities, family matters, and other aspects of life yet they show up every day ready to learn and grow. I think that their stories are unique in the sense that they experience success outside of academics. They are experiencing both professional and personal growth.

What are you most looking forward to in your work as Coordinator for Recruitment & Retention?
I'm looking forward to working with an amazing staff and faculty at SCPS as well as continuing to build relationships. I'm excited about creating new relationships with our partners, and I aspire to help people see how SCPS can be the next step for their journey. It's exciting to be able to share opportunities, increase access, and help others reach their goals. As a ÎçÒ¹AV alum, I'm especially excited to be back to where it all began and contribute to student success.

Any fun facts about yourself?
I'm a huge hoops guy and love anything related to basketball. I also have experience coaching basketball across all levels, which has taught me so much about leadership, communication, and flexibility. Some of my favorite memories are from being a graduate student at ÎçÒ¹AV and attending games at Gentile Arena. Outside of basketball, I enjoy trying new food spots in Chicago and spending time with friends and family.
